What is your earliest memory of being together?

I have no very early memories as only outstanding memories stick, and we were always together from the beginning. When we were perhaps 3 and 4 we were sent to take a message to an elderly aunt who lived in the top floor of the house and we found her dead in the bath. Celia said “oh, she is dead of course, you can tell by looking at her eyes” and she lifted up an eyelid to demonstrate. It is only remembered because of the furore that occurred when we went down stairs and told them.

What do you love and admire the most about her?

what I most admire is my sister’s sense of what is right and her determination to do it. What I most value is my importance to her.

What was the last thing that you hysterically laughed about together?

I am a rather a grim person and am inclined to cry if I laugh hysterically. We can be happily silly together but I don’t seem to laugh.

What is your earliest memory of being together?

First memory with my sister looking out of a window together watching a storm blowing dustbins about in Germany.

What do you love and admire the most about her?

My sister is beautiful kind and lot of fun and my best friend.

What was the last thing that you hysterically laughed about together?

We get very manic and silly when dancing together.
